Duas Pequenas Frustrações

Pois é... descobri que o espetáculo IRIS (Cirque du Soleil), de que falei em um post antigo, só estreará no Kodak Theater em Julho, data para a qual (ainda) não tenho visto, portanto não sei se ainda estarei aqui. Além disso, frustrei meus planos (se é que eles realmente existiram, afinal, se sim, não teriam sido frustrados, haha) de assistir a luta épica: UFC - ANDERSON SILVA x VITOR BELFORT em Las Vegas! Ingressos só acima de US$ 300,00... sem chance. Tudo bem que Las Vegas é BEM perto de Los Angeles (mais perto do que San Francisco... 4hs de carro, mais ou menos a mesma distância entre Sampa e Rio), mas 300 doletas, fora as outras despesas... um pouquim demais.

Mas houve coisas boas também. Ontem John (pai de Shasta) cozinhou na casa uma espécie de “risoto vegano” com... com... PEITO DE FRANGO! Isso mesmo... PEITO DE FRANGO de TOFU! Na boa... é PERFEITO! Eu tive que perguntar 2 vezes pra confirmar se era mesmo vegano, pois achava que talvez tivesse acontecido alguma falha na comunicação! Depois vou tirar uma foto da embalagem e mostrar... a aparência é IGUAL, assim como a textura e o gosto! E depois do jantar... mais uma noite no Sharkeez. Aliás, ontem era feriado aqui, em homenagem a Martin Luther King! Na TV, nada de NFL, mas sim os Lakers dando um baile de 101 a 94 no Oklahoma City Thunder. Quando a balada começou a esquentar, tive que voltar para casa... me deitar à meia-noite pois a aula de hoje cedo é importante – “American Workplace Preparation”, com Jude Clark, fundamental para conseguir um bom estágio (uma das minhas metas). Ah, e consegui hoje finalmente trocar meus travellers checks de Euro (adquiridos em 2007, óia só) por US$! Viva o Bank of America...  e por hoje é só!

Today´s Zuma Dance Class @ EF 6pm

Two frustrations... I found out that the Show IRIS (Cirque du Soleil), that I wrote about, will take place in Kodak Theater only in July, a date for which I don´t have VISA yet, so I´m not too sure if I´ll be here yet. Moreover, I frustrated my plans (is they really existed, after all, with good plans we don´t get frustrated, lol) for watching the epic fight: UFC – ANDERSON SILVA x VITOR BELFORT in Vegas! Tickets only US$ 300+… no way. I know that Vegas is very close to Los Angeles (closer than San Francisco… 4hs by car, almost the same distance between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), mas US$ 300,00, plus other expenses… too much. But good things happened too. Yesterday John (Shasta´s dad) cooked a kind of “vegan risotto” with… with… Chicken Breast! That´s true… Chicken Breast of TOFU! Simply PERFECT! I had to ask him twice to confirm that it was really vegan, to be sure that it wasn´t a lack of communication! I´ll try to take a picture of the package to show you… the appearance is EQUAL, as the texture ant the taste! After the dinner… another night @ Sharkeez. Yesterday was a holiday here,  in honor of Martin Luther King! On TV, no NFL, but Lakers winning Oklahoma City Thunder for 101 to 94. When the party started to get really excited, I had to go back home… going to sleep at midnight cause today´s morning class is very important – “American Workplace Preparation”, with Jude Clark, essential to get a good internship (one of my goals). And today I could finally trade my Euro Travellers Checks (acquired in 2007). Thanks to Bank of America… until tomorrow!
